Man replicates and explains Ed Leedskanin's Coral Castle phenomena
I created this gif animation from the video.
Someone has replicated Ed Leedskalnin's motor, and explains, with demonstrations,
all of the key aspects of Leedskalnin's
methods, using components that would have been available to Leedskalnin, to cut
the stone, move and position it.

In this video,
a guy (doesn't disclose his name) shows how he has replicated all of the key
aspects of Leedskalnin's methods, including his motor (starting 13:40),
using components that would have been available to Leedskalnin.
He explains and demonstrates how the rock was hewn, hoisted, and moved. And he
gives a simple explanation as to why Leedskalnin worked at night: It's hot
during the day in Florida. He also conjectures that "sweet 16" is a
reference to the motor, which has sixteen magnets around its perimeter.
It is brilliant work.
Thanks to J.D. (of Global BEM, which is hosting a SecretSpaceProgram
in TX Oct. 31, Nov. 1) for bringing this to our attention.
It corroborates what I wrote years ago after I visited Coral Castle, which has
been one of the most high-traffic stories I've ever put out:
Here's the video:
Here's a video of
the guy showing the motor running continuously for 55 minutes.
Here's a video with
another guy, Wally Wellington, moving large blocks by himself. The moving part
begins at about 3:48.
