GAIA plans continuous delivery of 5 kW power plants

A local licensee from Rosch will provide the key components (generator, air compressor, and control circuit); and GAIA will source local manufacturers for the rest of the components that make the 5 kW home power system. Pushing through several delays, GAIA expects first deliveries within 8 weeks.

Rosch is not directly related to this endeavor, and is working through a different licensee. Rosch is focused on utility-scale KPP solutions and does not appreciate being contacted regarding this 5 kW project. Please refrain from doing so.

Here I am charging my camera battery with the Rosch self-looped ~15 kW system being demonstrated in Spich, Germany on June 19, 2015.
The KPP is a buoyancy technology involving floats that fill with air at the bottom of a water tank to cause them to rise, turning a generator in the process, such that the system self-loops while also producing excess energy for base load power production.

Pure Energy Systems News

In the past few months, we've been giving a lot of coverage of the Rosch' Kinetic Power Plant (KPP) technology, beginning with the announcement of what turned out to be an 18-day, continuous demonstration of a 5 kW AuKW prototype, which produced nearly 2 MW-h of electricity in total, during that self-looped, autonomous test -- approximately enough to provide the average usage of nearly 2000 households for an hour, or one household for nearly five months.

For me, personally, an exotic free energy technology that can provide home power is one of my primary interests, and this 5 kW system is more than enough to cover home power. With net metering, you'd be sending back to the grid about 4 times as much as you used to consume. And in a grid outage, with proper budgeting of power, the 5 kW system would provide a fairly comfortable existence. You wouldn't be able to use an air conditioner, unless that's all you had on, ditto for an electric home heating system; and you'd need to be careful about what larger appliances you had running at the same time; but you could still have all the conveniences you are used to.

The 5 kW AuKW plant would be a bit expensive and bulky, with a 1 meter square base, standing 5 meters (~16.5 feet) high; costing €13,410.00 Euro net plus local VAT (Europe only). Remember that it can produce power continuously, making it far superior to other renewable solutions like solar and wind. It can also be load-following, so while it can produce 5 kW continuously, it can also be set up to provide as much power as you need, up to 5 kW.

At the time I visited Rosch Innovations AG (parent company, owner of the IP) on June 19, all of that was in jeopardy, as Rosch was wanting to pull the plug on the GAIA contract -- too much hassle with delays and negative rumors. As the CEO, Detlef Dohman commented near the end of the 5 kW demo, "GAIA is 95% of the hassle and 5% of the revenue." He and the board of directors wanted to just focus on utility scale systems, where they are dealing with professionals in the industry.

Now, this has been salvaged by a separate licensee stepping in to deal with Rosch, purchasing the key components needed for the AuKW system; and GAIA will be responsible for sourcing/handling the remainder of the materials and manufacturing of the 5 kW AuKW systems. For example, the tubes can be manufactured locally. Ditto for the floats. Ditto for the chains and other structural components.

In a conversation I had today with Roberto Reuter, GAIA's CEO, he said they don't plan on stopping the first set at 500 but plan to continue production of these same systems thereafter.

Some of this was addressed in a July 16 blog posting on the GAIA blog

Also, last month, on June 16, Roberto, posted a statement saying that they were 95% of the way to their milestone of 500 orders required to make their first batch purchase of essential components. However, with the new arrangement, the 500 minimum order is no longer a restraint (and they've nearly achieved that, anyway). I post this since it gives a snapshot of where things were back then, and the scrambling that has being going on to pull this together and make it a success.

Here are the Google translations of those postings, with a little additional editing.

PROJECT AuKW - change for the common good

Almost a year after the beginning we start with

Excerpt from the review by AuKW-orderers - © 2015 GAIA

By Christoph Beiser, AuKW project
July 16, 2015

It was in the last 4 weeks outwards again very quiet on the subject and so AuKW Some wonder whether the project is still alive ...

In the background we have worked in the project group, however, with high pressure and look forward all the more true now announce these results:
First, is a concern to me, to thank the entire project team (Roberto, Robert, Nicole, Michaela and Ulrike) for their tireless daily use warm.

This now happens at a time:
The supply of 500 power plants will change as follows: GAIA is now serviced directly from the competent licensee of Rosch. In this context, the agreements have been resolved by mutual agreement with ROSCH.
The key components (generator, compressor and control [come from Rosch]) so we will now refer about the licensee.
The mechanical components, we will now be produced in-house and in close cooperation with local manufacturing facilities. The advantages of the new structure are obvious.

  • Highest possible workmanship and material quality
  • Improved flexibility
  • Permanent supply of 5 kW installations on the pioneering series beyond
  • Possibly Improvements can be incorporated immediately into mass production

What will happen next:
Based on us from next week available series pattern from Spich we will as soon as possible to create an optimized production patterns. Following the successful testing and commissioning the balance is payable with which we carry out the order of the key components. From this point, we expect a delivery time of max. 8 weeks for the components.

Once the recurrence pattern is received by us, we will post the next news in the coming week with more details.

95% percent is achieved

By Roberto Reuter, AuKW project
June 16, 2015

The next milestone is palpable - The release of the order to 500 kits.

Halt to the outside does not mean that nothing happens inside. Rather, the opposite is the case. The wheel turns instantaneously very rapidly in the background. Since our last post, we are daily intense endeavor to process new order requests, sift requests and offers for coaches and evaluate online to prepare a central question and answer catalog to the power plant to sort local deals for workshops and even numerous other small organizational / administrative weiterzutreiben preparations. So even a separate bank account has been created, to which all payments are outsourced to kits for KW24. In short, we are ready for the next important tasks immediately ordering the kits can be triggered. And then the communication is re-public.

As always in life current conditions and circumstances to be defined as what they really are: Provisional and temporary.

At this point a big thank you to all those who are behind the power plant and to those who very own initiative stand behind the project and, for example, contribute through rates for interim financing of several power plants actively to achieve the necessary volume of orders even faster.
We inform definitely from here centrally (and email newsletters to each customer), once again for major news. We do it now please together to provide the missing 5 percent. Thank you for this support.
Anyone who still wants to order the power plant may do so via the link on the sidebar of our website.
