Co-Founder Gregg Maryniak Gives Tour of XPRIZE Offices in LA
The XPRIZE Foundation has many causes they have fostered by putting up
contests to see who might come up with the best solution for a particular
problem. $30 million has been awarded so far, with $60 million presently on the
table. The Forbidden Energy project about which we've been reporting is on the

On Thursday morning, November 6, my New Energy
Systems Trust associate, Russ
Gries, and I were given a tour of the XPRIZE
Foundation facilities, along with several others, by Co-Founder, Gregg
Maryniak. They are next door to Symantec in Culver City, California, near Los

Gregg also told us the story about how the XPRIZE was launched and what they've
done since making history with the first non-government trip to space and back
within two weeks.
It just so happened that our tour took place on the 10th anniversary of the
awarding of the $10 million dollar prize for that accomplishment by Burt Rutan
and his team, whose enterprise ended up being purchased by Richard Branson of
Virgin Airlines, forming Virgin Galactic.
Since that first contest, Ansari, XPRIZE has awarded $30 million in other
contests, and presently has several contests under way with a total of $60
million in the kitty.

For those of you who have been following our news, you know that we have been
tracking this $20 million "Forbidden Energy" prize announced last May.
The purpose of Thursday's meeting was to do some early brainstorming on the
prize. It's still in early development and discussion. It hasn't been formally
announced yet, which could take many months. They have a lot of other projects
under way, of which this is just one.
Because it is early in its stage of roll-out, they asked us to not talk about it
until they're ready to announce it officially, if it gets to that point. Since
we've reported on this previously, not realizing that it was still in such a
formative stage, the purpose of today's coverage is to inform you about this. I
would love to be able to give you the details of the brainstorming meeting, but
for the reasons just given, we can't go into that right now. I'll just say that
the brainstorming document I created last week has come in very useful.
