Pure Energy Systems News

Once again, we bring you a compilation of the news about the various LENR companies since our February 5 compilation.

This one has only the E-CatWorld entries.

Mainstream news sources are indicated with the yellow highlight.

See also Cold Fusion Times.

  • LENR Companies
    • Rossi, Leonardo Corp - E-Cat
      • Rossi Strikes More Hopeful Tone Regarding E-Cat Tests - I posted a question to Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics about the value of partnering with Industrial Heat ...Rossi responded: With Industrial Heat we are making an important work of R&D, validation and industrialization. (E-CatWorld; February 13, 2014)
      • Rossi Hopes to Retrofit Coal Power Plants With E-Cats - Andrea Rossi gave an interesting short comment on the Journal of Nuclear Physics when asked by Bernie Koppenhofer whether he agreed that with anticipated efficiencies, the hot cat would be suitable for retrofitting existing inefficient… (E-CatWorld; February 19, 2014)
      • Rossi on E-Cat’s Theoretical Limits - There’s been some interesting discussion on the Journal of Nuclear Physics between Steven Karels and Andrea Rossi about the theoretical limits of the size of an E-Cat. There was a misunderstanding earlier this week in which Rossi seemed to say that was no limitation to the size of an individual E-Cat reactor; today he corrected himself,  (E-CatWorld; February 15, 2014)
      • Rossi on Peer Review - I posted a question to Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics today regarding the upcoming third party report. Rossi has said that the report would be published in a ‘peer-reviewed magazine’, but I… (E-CatWorld; February 5, 2014)
    • Fleischmann Memorial Project,
      • MFMP and Stoyan Sarg Team Up to Experiment with Nickel Powder - The Martin Fleischmann memorial project have announced on their blog that they have entered into a partnership with Canadian physicist Dr. Stoyan Sarg who has researched extensively in the field of cold fusion and… (E-CatWorld; February 18, 2014)
    • H-Cat, Justin Church
      • H-Cat Radiation Test (Video) - During recent discussions we have been having here regarding the homebuilt ‘H-Cat’ systems that Justin Church and others have been working on there were some questions raised about whether — if there is an LENR or nuclear reaction of some kind taking place — there might be some danger to experimenters from radiation. (E-CatWorld; February 11, 2014)
    • Mitch Swartz, JET Thermal Products
    • Purratio AG
      • Who ignites the sun fire first? - Perhaps there is already a winner. The Italian engineer Andrea Rossi any case, claims he has brought to market a device, which he called E-Cat. It is not based on the classic cold fusion. Rather, nickel powder and hydrogen are introduced into the reactor, to some mysterious catalysts. (; February 9, 2014)
        • German Article on Cold Fusion Introduces New LENR Company — PURRATIO AG - In the area of CF/LENR, the author, Michael Odenwald, mentions Andrea Rossi and the E-Cat, but also introduces a German company called PURRATIO AG which has apparently developed (or is developing) a reactor made of palladium (a hollow tube, a few inches long) which is designed to absorb hydrogen. The reaction occurs when an electrical charge is passed through the reactor. (E-CatWorld; February 8, 2014)
  • General Cold Fusion
    • How Big of a Deal is Cold Fusion/LENR? - Thanks to all the readers who have helped identify the various companies and organizations working in the cold fusion/LENR field. Some were new, others were familiar, and some just forgotten. When I put them all… (E-CatWorld; February 10, 2014)
    • Structural Impacts of LENR - I sometimes read comments that I consider worthy of being placed in a post of their own. Here’s a comment that has recently been submitted by ECW reader Oaklandthinktank, which sets forth an interesting analysis… (E-CatWorld; February 15, 2014)
    • Cold Fusion in Academic Journals — An Editor’s Perspective - I would like to thank ECW reader Kat Jones for entering into the discussion here and providing some perspective from the point of view of someone on the editorial board of two academic journals. (E-CatWorld; February 14, 2014)
    • A Vision of a Cold Fusion/LENR Future — How to Adapt to Abundance? - Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed to the ‘how big a deal’ thread. It’s gotten a ton of comments, and sometimes those threads become somewhat unweildy, so I thought I’d start a new… (E-CatWorld; February 12, 2014)
    • A Non-Conservative Outlook for LENR - I think the thread started by Oaklandthinktank — while very insightful about many of the possible scenarios surrounding the future of LENR, and very useful in generating discussion surrounding this — is too conservative on the dramatic possibilities of LENR, particularly in its speed of deployment and the compounding effects of its destabilising influence.  (E-CatWorld; February 18, 2014)
  • Tangential / Off Topic
    • Blacklight Power
    • OU Hot Fusion Milestone
      • Hot Fusion finally breaks even -- far, far behind "cold fusion" - Meanwhile, "cold fusion" or LENR as it is now more frequently called, still mislabeled "junk science" by mainstream science, achieved overunity long ago, and the leading companies bringing it to market are in the region of 6-10x. (Free Energy Blog; February 14, 2014)
      • Fusion Breakthough: More Energy Out Than In Reported at Nuclear Ignition Facility - “Scientists in California said on Wednesday night that they have for the first time managed to release more energy from their nuclear fusion experiment than they put into it, which marks a critical threshold in eventually achieving the goal of a self-sustaining nuclear-fusion reaction.” (E-CatWorld; February 12, 2014)
      • Mass Media Focuses on Hot Fusion Achievement - The news coming out of the National Ignition Facility at the Livermore National Laboratory regarding the achievement of fusion from almost 200 lasers blasting a tritium/deuterium (both isotopes of hydrogen) fuel pellet has really caught… (E-CatWorld; February 14, 2014)

ADVISORY: With any technology, you take a high risk to invest significant time or money unless (1) independent testing has thoroughly corroborated the technology, (2) the group involved has intellectual rights to the technology, and (3) the group has the ability to make a success of the endeavor.
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
