Interview with Mike McKubre about Brillouin at SRI International

Following my tour of Stanford Research Institute's facilities where they are working on testing Brillouin's Cold Fusion technology, I did a 22-minute interview with Michael McKubre summarizing some  of the high points regarding Brillouin's technology.

I had an amazing day yesterday visiting some of the people, facilities, and equipment involved in Brillouin's "Controlled Electron Capture Reaction".

One of the high points was my interview with Mike McKubre of SRI International. After all his years of experience and knowledge he has accumulated in the field of LENR, he speak both with a high degree of confidence and humorous candor. He is not at all bashful about tackling some of the most controversial subjects in the industry. Though one of the most credible people in the world in this arena, he is one of the least egocentric people I've met.

One of my favorite parts of the interview was when he talked about his usage of the words "nuclear" and "fusion" -- the two pariah terms that many try to avoid and even shun due to the politics that have arisen regarding them over the years. In essence, he said: " 'Nuclear', is what makes it worth while, because that is where the energy is -- ten million times more than the best chemical reaction. And 'fusion' by the most fundamental definition is the increasing of nuclear elements from lower to higher. Call it what it is."

He also chided the field saying that instead of competing we should be cooperating / collaborating, because as soon as any one of us is successful in going to market, we all will benefit by the doors that will open.

I especially enjoyed our one-on-one chat as he walked me back to the lobby. We talked about how NIST prostituted themselves on the subject of WTC Building 7. My dad, who used to work for NIST in the Atomic Clock division, has noted that NIST has received a huge infusion of money, which I'm guessing has a lot to do with a pay-off for their sell-out. He commented that now they are seeing the repercussions of that as people in the industry no longer trust or respect them like they used to, and they aren't going to NIST for answers any more.

Here's the interview, conducted in his office at SRI:

ADVISORY: With any technology, you take a high risk to invest significant time or money unless (1) independent testing has thoroughly corroborated the technology, (2) the group involved has intellectual rights to the technology, and (3) the group has the ability to make a success of the endeavor.
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
