Group looking for independent test volunteers

Before open sourcing their design, a group of scientists is looking for 5-10 scientists to test a couple of prototypes that have several unusual phenomena, including apparent overunity.

Pure Energy Systems News

There's a group involved with an inventor of a device that has several unusual phenomena involved, including apparent overunity.

They would like to open source the technology, providing a kit, but first they want to make absolute certain that the effect is for real. They have good reputations that they would like to keep intact.

The phenomenon has been observed by a few hundred people, but the team would like to have some rigorous testing done on the device, using more sophisticated equipment.

The input of a few watts is pulsed DC, though the effect seems to depend more on the frequency of the pulse than on the actual waveform, or even the duty cycle. The lower limit of duty cycle has not yet been determined, but sawtooths, spike pulses, and square waves, etc. all seem to produce the same output. Testers should measure the voltage, current and relevant power factors to determine the input power. The filters in the circuit are chosen so as to produce optimal output at around 50 Hz, though the effect occurs anywhere in the range 25-60 Hz. Tuning the input frequency will be critical.

The output is straight DC voltage and current, so should not be difficult to measure. To capture the output power, an arrangement of several motors in series is required, and this presents the greatest design challenge. The unit has not yet been tested with more than two output motors, though two motors actually produced four times the output of just one. Motors will be included with the test apparatus. Testers can try to use additional or substitute motors if they wish.

They are looking for around 5-10 people to do this testing, one after the other, each having a few days with one of two prototypes. After you do your testing, you will need to mail the prototype to the next tester and prepare a report on your findings. A signature on a simple contract will be required from the Tester to ensure that the prototype is properly cared for and shipped timely to the next Tester. They would prefer people who wouldn't mind having their report published at some point.

If you are interested, please email Greg Volk at Describe what testing equipment and experience you have that would be relevant. Also indicate your availability to do the testing and to mail the prototype to the next tester.

Each tester will be given a couple of days to perform their tests before passing the device on to the next tester.

In preparation, testers will be expected to read a 15-page scientific paper about the technology, so they understand what is being claimed and what the device entails. I have a copy of that paper, but they don't want to release it publicly yet.

NOTE: We have replaced the Echo comment service with Disqus. It will take up to 48 hours to migrate he content database. The downside is that they will be loaded (in Disqus) in date received order, and not the logical order you see here now (in other words some jumbling up will occur).

ADVISORY: With any technology, you take a high risk to invest significant time or money unless (1) independent testing has thoroughly corroborated the technology, (2) the group involved has intellectual rights to the technology, and (3) the group has the ability to make a success of the endeavor.
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
