The Founding Fathers and Free Energy

On this President's Day, let's ponder the many parallels between what the Founders were facing during the U.S. Revolutionary War and what we face now in trying to bring exotic free energy technologies forward.

When I was having dinner with my parents yesterday (whose wedding anniversary is today: Happy 53rd Anniversary!), I mentioned to them how much I've been enjoying reading the book my dad got me for my birthday: The Real George Washington: The True Story of America's Most Indispensable Man.

I told my dad: "It's amazing how many parallels there are between what the Founders were facing during the Revolutionary War and what we face now in trying to bring exotic free energy technologies forward. I can really relate to what George Washington faced."

  • The odds were stacked heavily against them.
  • They were vastly outnumbered.
  • Funding from the Continental Congress was sparse.
  • The American soldiers were poorly-trained novices, compared to Britain's professional troops.
  • The American solders were ill-equipped, some not even having shoes in the dead of winter; not to mention rifles.
  • The American soldiers were mostly part-time and volunteers, so there was a large turn-over; hence the time it took to train soldiers was mostly wasted as their brief tour came to an end and they returned home.
  • They were plagued with desertions, as well.
  • Some of the fellow generals did not come through as promised, leaving General Washington in very precarious situations.

And on the positive spectrum:

  • Weather situations often favored the Americans.
  • The American soldiers were spurred by a higher cause -- freedom -- which drove them to feats of endurance that the British could not match, not being spurred by the same motivation.
  • General Washington was considered "bullet-proof".  Several times, volleys of bullets or arrows were fired at him (by command of the opposing army), but he came through unscathed, though there were a few holes made in his clothes as evidence of how close they came to wounding or killing him.
  • Despite many indications of probable failure along the way, which would have spurred someone with less determination to quit or surrender, General Washington stuck with the cause to the end.

I commented to my Dad, "It's astonishing that they won the Revolutionary War."

He responded, "When the war was ended, and General Washington was asked how he did it, he gave just two words: 'Divine Intervention'."  There is no way they could have won had not a higher power interceded on their behalf.

Does any of that resonate with you like it does with me, having been dedicated to this cause for a decade now?

I am fully confident in the rightness of the cause of free energy, and I am confident that we will be victorious because it is in our destiny. Higher powers have interceded on our behalf and will continue to intercede until we see these things emerge into the marketplace to empower the individual and make the corrupt powers that be obsolete.

It's a peaceful revolution, but it is anything but easy. We face the same difficulty of challenges that the Founders of the United States faced in launching freedom as the foundation of this nation.

What is at stake this time? International Freedom, brought about by empowered individuals (literally and figuratively) being unshackled from the powers that be who have wanted to make us all slaves.

p.s. By way of follow-up, I finished my 10-page draft of the S. African story today and have submitted it to them for review. Hopefully we'll have it up by tomorrow. Sorry for the delays. It's complicated.
