Another Big Explosion at Water Fuel Co in LA

A massive explosion blasted metal sliding door and ripped off the roof and shattering nearby business windows Tuesday in Sylmar, Los Angeles, sending three to the hospital, two critically injured. This is the third explosion since 2008 by the hydroxy company owned by Timothy Larson, the 2010 blast having killed one of his sons.

We've been fortunate in the water fuel and hydroxy research community to not have more accidents than we have had.

But one family-owned company in Sylmar California, in the L.A. metropolitan area, seems to be a magnet for big disasters.

Two days ago, a thunderous explosion blasted a metal sliding door off an industrial building,  ripped off part of the roof, shattering nearby business windows, damaging cars parked in the lot, and hurled two men into an alley outside the industrial, 7,400-square-foot building, critically injuring them.  One person lost his arm and leg, and the other suffered severe facial injuries. (KTLA) A third person was injured as well, but has been released from the hospital. (BHCourrier)

The development has had over 100 news reports in the mainstream press, including aerial television coverage; and some reports are now pointing out the repeat problems with this accident-battered company. (LA Times)

In June of last year, we reported that they made mainstream press when an explosion tore a hole in the roof and killed one person, Tyson Larson -- the son of the company owner, Timothy A. Larson, injuring two others.

This most recent explosion critically injured another son, Timothy Larson, a veteran Los Angeles city firefighter who has been on disability leave for several years. (LA Times)  Now his disabilities include a missing arm and leg.  He probably won't be back on the firefighter crew.

The massive fatal explosion last year forced firefighters to evacuate nearby areas and resulted in three citations totaling more than $5,600 after a California Division of Occupational Safety and Health investigation. Investigators said the company had used an air compressor and two pressure vessel tanks that it was not permitted to use, and that it used altered tanks in a way that were not "good engineering practice" and "not in accordance with" national standards. (LA Times)

Ironically, on the same day as this third explosion, the company was in the process of appealing the citations and a hearing was held Tuesday before an appeals board judge in Van Nuys, said Erika Monterroza, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Industrial Relations. She had not received a report on the results of the hearing as of Wednesday evening, she said. (LA Times)

In 2008, an explosion at the company, then located in Simi Valley, operating under the names Realm Catalyst Inc. and Realm Industries, blew out the garage door of one of its nearby offices. (LA Times)

In the most recent incident, building owner Nick Werth said it was leased by Rainbow of Hope, which was working to develop sustainable clean-water systems for developing countries. (Daily News)

The damage in each accident has been significantly worse than the previous.

Here is a Sky 5 news report of Tuesday's incident:

Tuesday's blast was reported about 4:20 p.m. at 12349 Gladstone Ave.  Search-and-rescue crews were called in, but failed to find other victims in the rubble.

The LA Times report continues:

Tuesday's explosion occurred while workers were transferring hydrogen gas from one cylinder to another, Monterroza said. Fire officials said the company was in the business of extracting hydrogen from water to create an alternative-fuel source.

A few months after his death, Tyson Larson was granted a patent for a process he and a co-inventor named William A. Stehl said could create energy from water molecules by using an electrical circuit to create resonance in the molecule. The energy they created, they said, could be used to power motorized vehicles.

Stehl was indicted last year in U.S. District Court in northern New York on charges of selling investors on a similar process to create energy from water. The indictment alleged that Stehl and a co-defendant sold investors on the process but used the money for personal expenditures.

That case is ongoing and was scheduled to go to trial in September.

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health has said it will investigate the latest blast. The Los Angeles Fire Department's arson/counter-terrorism section will also investigate.

BHCourier reported that the process of extracting hydrogen from water "involved two pressure cylinders, about 20-inches in diameter and as tall as 8 feet."

Subject: Tradgedy again, FW: Another California Hydrogen lab explosion, can never happen with any of our HH2 Hydrogen Systems, thank GOD.

This latest event and tragedy is causing a black mark on our efforts to bring Hydrogen into the mainstream.

HH2ฎ Hydrogen systems do not ever explode, are totally safe and we never store mixed hydrogen and oxygen.

We make separated gases during our electrolysis in our water fuel cell, the gases never combine at any time, no oxygen, no explosion.....period....

We have the CARB Label D-643, so important to prove safety, and we have never, never had a explosion or damage due to our products, why, because we insist on professional installation and have a total "DO NOT TAMPER OR ALTER OUR PRODUCT" policy. We will be in Vegas for SEMA Oct 29th thru Nov 5th, under HydroLectric Power LLC -HH2. We are in the main central hall.

The following news reports are an example of idiots and HHO/Hydroxyl/Browns gas and carelessness. These 3 time losers are guys that have become rocket scientists for sure, blew themselves right out of the building, blew the roofs off too. 3rd blast in three years for the same people.

When will the word get out that screwing with physics and Hydrogen is not for tinkerers and un-informed lay persons? I am now 6 years into my research, only one small explosion on a vendor supplied test unit that had a wire short inside the case, blew out the front of the case, as the frayed copper wire over heated, fortunately, I always practice safe sex with Hydrogen.

The HH2ฎ systems have been proven over and over, they work well and do the job they were designed to do, clean up toxic exhaust emissions from fuel burning engines.

We are ready to expand our Mfg and distribution and are looking for additional funding, Loan deal or Investors to bring the safest Hydrogen Product into mainstream America NOW.

Facts: Toxic exhaust gas discharge eliminated, (Zero or near zero ), total fuel combustion inside the engine prior to exhaust discharge, on average a 20% to 50% and more fuel economy improvements, (many vehicles are over 100% improvement in MPG from EPA ratings), a very noticeable power boost with more torque and engine power added, 5 to 25HP on average. Turns driving into pleasure again.
