David Sieg's new book, Building Open Ponds, will be of interest to framers, ranchers, biofuel researchers, health food enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, teachers, students, and survivalists.

My friend David Sieg has completed yet another e-book in his excellent series on making your own biodiesel from algae and other biomass.  This book, Building Open Ponds, focuses on the methods of cultivating algae in open ponds, both small-scale for home applications, or large-scale for commercial applications.

Here is the review I wrote, which he posted on his splash page:

"Once again, David Sieg has composed and excellent guide, this time focusing on open ponds for growing algae, whether for fuel, food, animal feed, fertilizer, or even cosmetics. He covers the range from home use to large-scale commercial systems, from a distributed and survival perspective; yet practical enough for modern implementation -- a hallmark of true sustainable principles. We'll be consulting this guide in the Safe Haven Villages (.org) intention community I'm involved with.

"In a day when central authority is growing more tenuous, the ability to do things in a distributed model is growing increasingly vital; and it just makes more sense from a seventh-generation sustainability point of view, while still being profitable in today's economy. In fact you might consider this as a career that will not only survive the downturn, but help you and many others make it through the worst of times to come; all while pioneering a future industry."

When Rudolf Diesel invented the diesel engine, he had in mind the ability of farmers to grow their own fuel for energy independence.  It's not only possible but can be practical -- and eventually maybe even imperative for survival.  Dave's books are all about how to do that.

Presently, through this weekend, Dave is running a 15% sale on this new e-book. Use the discount code "15percent" upon checkout and get the discount instantly.  There are also ongoing discounts for purchasing package deals.

We at PES Network have an affiliate relationship with Dave, so we do make a commission on any books sold through our links.  Here are some links, both to his new book as well as to other books in his series:

Here's a word for those of you webmasters out there with energy-related sites. I've found that David's Making BioDiesel books are consistently among the bestselling books for the free energy crowd that frequents our sites.  You might consider adding his link to your list of offerings as well.  He gives a 50% commission through e-Junkie.
