Experiments with Ray McConnell's "monopole" magnet array
I received Ray's set of materials and did some experimentation on the effect he thought indicated that a mild steel rod attached to a neodymium magnet seems to create a magnetic monopole effect. Creating an array of several of these did not seem to produce net propulsion.

On Saturday, I received Ray McConnell's set of items to try out what he thinks
could be a "monopole" magnet set up that results in a net energy gain
in propelling a Hot Wheel. The "monopole" is derived by fastening a
mild steel rod to a neodymium magnet, so that "just" the north end of
the magnet is seen by magnets fastened atop the Hot Wheel.
Indeed, there are some very unusual phenomena that are fun to play with, but I'm
not sure there is conclusively a net energy gain to be obtained from this
I shot a brief video demonstrating most of what I observed.
