SHT's PCT patent published: WO/2015/005921

Solar Hydrogen Trends has achieved another milestone with their World Intellectual Property Organization PCT patent being published. With this development, we'll be curious if others can come even close to replicating the copious hydrogen production that three third-party professional groups have measured.

Today, Solar Hydrogen Trends, Inc's PCT patent has been made available online. I've added this info to our feature page on them, under "Patents"

  • MULTIFACTORIAL HYDROGEN REACTOR Inventors: BALAKIRYAN, Konstantin; (RU/US) AGANYAN, Hakop; (US); Publication Date: 15.01.2015; Pub. No.: WO/2015/005921; International Application No.: PCT/US2013/050031
The present invention provides multifactorial hydrogen reactor with elevated hydrogen production due to complex set of sixteen (16) physical and chemical processes, acting simultaneously on the hydrogen bonds in aqueous solutions of electrolytes. This is achieved due to the process, which takes place in forty two (42) distributed volumes of hydrogen reactor under the effect of the electro-hydraulic shock, which forms local micro-cavities with pressures in the hundreds of thousands of atmospheres and a temperature of several thousand degrees (plasma). Frontline water wave pressure passing through electrolyzer's electrodes creates in micro-environment infrasonic, sonic, and ultrasonic vibrations that, along with the heat, ultrasound and hydrodynamic cavitation, turbulence, high-pressure, chemical catalysts, light energy, electrostatic and electromagnetic fields, dramatically increases decomposition process of water molecules. Simultaneously, electro-hydraulic shock destroys the oxide film, allowing the oxidation reaction of reactive metals to continue continually; reactive metals, from which plates of electrolyzer are made, are part of the hydrogen reactor.

You will have to license with SHT to do anything commercial with the technology, of course, but for a patent to be valid, it should provide enough info for replication. Good luck! Let the race begin. A paragon of scientific validation is third party replication. Bear in mind, though, that you're not likely to get close to the level of production that the SHT has achieved with their Midas touch in properly tuning the system.

For those of you not familiar with this technology, here are some highlights, in chronological sequence:

On July 26, 2015, it was made known to us that the SHT reaction is primarily chemical, using aluminum plates exposed to water to produce hydrogen and aluminum oxide (plus more). So all prior representations of "overunity" are erroneously depicted, because they only accounted for the electrical input and the hydrogen output, and do not account for the aluminum/water expendable fuel input. That said, SHT's symphony of 16 processes that facilitate the production of hydrogen, including by enabling the aluminum plates to stay exposed to water and not be covered with a film of aluminum oxide to prevent further reaction, is indeed a significant breakthrough toward enabling the hydrogen economy, and appears to include some exotic processes.
  • Interview: Solar Hydrogen Trends is revolutionizing all energy - I calculate 577 x overunity based on their third-party test results of 697 Watt input producing 2322 liters of gas/minute, equating to 402 kW output, from a device twice the size of a microwave oven, drawing from 16 different simultaneous phenomena creating what they call their "Symphony", including turning O into H and controlling particles. (PESN; April 29, 2014)
  • SHT publishes 3rd third-party test results -- 1345 x overunity - Solar Hydrogen Trends has now revealed the name of their third-party testers: TRC Solutions, and have published their results. TRC measured 127 cubic feet per minute (215,800 liters per hour) of 97% hydrogen being produced from water using only 414 watts of power. That's 1345 times more energy out than in. (PESN; July 22, 2014)
  • SHT visits SRI; "This could be the biggest discovery in the history of mankind" - Solar Hydrogen Trends recently attended an investment conference at Stanford Research Institute, during which they were able to spend several hours with Michael McKubre, who, until he sees a convincing demo for himself, is not ready to give a public statement, but is encouraged. (PESN; August 12, 2014)
  • SHT Booth at Defense Energy Conference - "We have the best spot in the defense show to present our technology", which was named the "Most Interesting Technology" of 2014. (Free Energy Blog; November 12, 2014)
  • SHT Replicas Get 900x Overunity - Solar Hydrogen Trends has achieved several highly significant milestones. Now in a new (albeit small) facility, they have built two clones of their symphony 7a reactor, and have third-party test results showing 900x OU on those. They've run one of them for 8 hours continuous. (PESN; March 24, 2015)

ADVISORY: With any technology, you take a high risk to invest significant time or money unless (1) independent testing has thoroughly corroborated the technology, (2) the group involved has intellectual rights to the technology, and (3) the group has the ability to make a success of the endeavor.
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
