Report on SHT at Defense Energy Summit

Solar Hydrogen Trends CEO and Chief Scientist, Konstantin Balakiryan, answers a few questions about their exhibit last week, where they were recognized as the "most interesting technology" of 2014. Not only does it produce over 1300 times more energy out than in, but it does so cheaply.

ERRATA:
On July 26, 2015, it was made known to us that the SHT reaction is primarily chemical, using aluminum plates exposed to water to produce hydrogen and aluminum oxide (plus more). So all prior representations of "overunity" are erroneously depicted, because they only accounted for the electrical input and the hydrogen output, and do not account for the aluminum/water expendable fuel input. That said, SHT's symphony of 16 processes that facilitate the production of hydrogen, including by enabling the aluminum plates to stay exposed to water and not be covered with a film of aluminum oxide to prevent further reaction, is indeed a significant breakthrough toward enabling the hydrogen economy, and appears to include some exotic processes.

Here is a question/answer survey I conducted with Konstantin Balakiryan (K.B.), Founder, CEO/Chief Scientist and driving force behind the seven models of the hydrogen reactor by Solar Hydrogen Trends, Inc. that uses just a little electricity to produce copious amounts of hydrogen gas from water. Theirs was named the "Most Interesting Technology" of 2014 at the Defense Energy Summit held in Austin, Texas last week.

It outputs over 1300 times more energy than is required to run the system, as validated by two separate highly qualified, EPA-certified, independent parties. Three separate qualitative analyses were done to show that H2O input turns to 97% hydrogen output, pointing to some kind of transmutation of oxygen to hydrogen in their process that involves 16 different phenomenon occurring simultaneously, including electrolysis, cold fusion, sound, and vibration.

Hi, Sterling

Before I answer your questions, I would like to explain why out of those many Energy conferences, Solar Hydrogen Trends, Inc. chose [the] Defense Energy Summit & Innovation Showcase. 

We were guided by three main reasons:

1. Solar Hydrogen Trends Inc is an Energy Company. Our product is the cleanest, most efficient, and most affordable fuel (hydrogen) in comparison to all other forms of energy (electricity, light, mechanical, electromagnetic). It can be generated at the most economical prices in the world.

2. It is a known fact that almost in all spheres of life people are overpaying for energy. However, in the army, air force and navy, the cost for energy and fossil fuels are particularly noticeable. Suffice it to say that the average price for 1 gallon of fuel for Department of Defense is double dollar digits.

3. We were ready to provide a proposal to Department of Defense to decrease all costs related to energy and fuel by an average of 60%.

Q. Please give a brief overview of how things went with your presence at the Summit.

K.B.  
Our participation in Defense Energy Summit was very successful, ... 
Success was achieved because our visual presentation, without a doubt, was the strongest, meaningful, logical and striking. The 10’x 8’ backdrop display and relevant videos and slides for Department of Defense on a widescreen TV could not have gone unnoticed, especially when you consider that one of the two most "central" places was given to Solar Hydrogen Trends, Inc.

Sterling
Q. What kind of numbers did you give either on your display or verbally to people regarding output/input (e.g. "1000+ x more out than in")?

K.B. We placed all the relevant data on our giant display for all to see. The test report summaries from AirKinetics and TRC Solutions were part of the display and were brought to the attention of all visitors. Most were able to recognize the “overunity” output of our technology from the analysis of data in the reports.

Sterling
Q. What was the summary statement that you gave to most people visiting your booth?

K.B.  
Mostly, they were interested in detailed information reflecting the content of the drawings submitted on the display. For example: what does it mean “1 barrel of water equals to 3 barrels of oil.” We explained that by passing one barrel of water through hydrogen reactor "Symphony7A," we get 3 barrels of oil equivalent through combustion of hydrogen. That's when the heat equal to 3 barrels of oil is released.

Q. Did you talk with some people who gave you possible theoretical clues to further explain the science behind what you are doing?

K.B.  
Personally I have had interesting discussion with professional physicists. Unfortunately, they had no clue about the processes in our reactor, nor could they give any valuable comments, because, as we have repeatedly said the theoretical justification for the processes that takes place in the "Symphony7A" will take several years to accomplish.

Sterling
Q. What are some of the kudo statements that were told to you or said about you at the Summit?

K.B.  
The feedback was very positive, and I would even say that we got a lot of admiring reviews. When you sum up all of that, you get a view close to that expressed by Rosemary Ainlsie in her letter: “This news is very heartening. I applaud your courage in standing behind this breakthrough - much needed as you confront not only competing interests but also assumptions related to the standard model. I trust that we will not be required to wait for 'theoretical justification' of anomalies before this technology is brought to the public. From what we read, it would liberate us all from the abuses associated with our grid suppliers. as well as reduce our prodigal overuse of fossil fuel. Can you give us a reasonable time line as to when this will become widely available?”

Follow-up from Sterling
A question not addressed by the comment from Rosemary is when you might expect this to be available. It's a great question that is shared by everyone. I understand why you might withhold answering that; but we shouldn't include the question if you're not going to give some estimate of the answer.

It is a good and important question but we are not ready to give even an estimate at this time due to several factors.

Q. Are you still under the silence order from that one group (~20 days left?)? What were the parameters of that silence order?

K.B.  
Our participation in defense [the] Energy Summit was agreed with stakeholders.

Sterling
Q. I would imagine that the silence order would have stifled a lot of dialogue you might have otherwise had with the hundreds of people who passed through your booth. Do you feel like you were hampered by that?

K.B.  
We had no limitations or difficulties with the contacts we had.

Sterling
Q. Approximately how many people did you talk to? 

K.B.  
Our display was visited by almost all participants of the conference. With many of them we
met on several occasions during the two day period. However, the exact number I can't say.

Sterling
Q. About what percentage of visitors to your booth were military-related versus civilian?

K.B.  
In uniform, about 8-12 people, among whom the principals were (Col. ...... ...... Captain)


Sterling
Q. What kind of interest did the military-related visitors show in your technology?

K.B.  
Honestly? The military representatives were in shock.

Sterling
Q. Were there any attempts to try to get you to limit the initial deployment of this technology to U.S. military only?

K.B.  
We don't need to be restricted. The only way to keep our technology, and it is without exaggeration, is as a national treasure, to create "energy bases" on the territories of countries where US naval, air, and army bases are located.

Sterling
Q. Was there any mainstream media attending the conference? Did they visit with you?

K.B. We had several contacts with the person who had a "Press" badge, including the official summit photographer, who was following us with every step we took.

Sterling
Q. In what way was your designation as the "Most Interesting Technology" presented to the Summit attendees? Summit brochure? ceremony? banner? website mention?

K.B. Oral assessment of representatives of DOE and DOD including by the organizers/committee of the defense summit.

Sterling
Q. What would you say was the best thing about your presence at the Summit?

K.B. It was very valuable for us to understand the needs of the DOE and DOD, and for them to become acquainted with our technology.

Sterling
Q. What would you say was the most challenging or negative thing about your presence at the Summit? 

K.B. The most difficult part for members of our delegation was in having conversations with visitors who’s mindset is limited by the restrictions of “modern” physics, the misunderstood laws of conservation of energy, and the confusion regarding perpetual motion.

Q. Are you happy overall with how things went at the Summit?

K.B. Absolutely.

Follow-up Question from Sterling
I notice that your display did not include a photo of the apparatus. Did you have one somewhere in your booth? I would think that most people would be interested in seeing that.

Response from Robert Avetisian
The laptop seen in the attached photo was used to stream photos, videos, and Power Point presentations to the 32” TV monitor. We showed photos of the apparatus to visitors who expressed interest to see it.

We had also prepared documents and Power Point presentations of classified nature specifically for the military personnel. Among other things we presented our proposals for modernizing the US armed forces with our hydrogen production technology. For understandable reasons we can’t share those documents.

On November 12 our team had brief One-On-One meetings with representatives from DoE, DoD-Navy (NAVAIR), DoD-Navy (NAVSEA), DoD-Army, DoD-AirForce, and NASA. The meetings were very productive and may be followed up with higher ranking decision makers in the future.
