"Free Energy" Definition for the Peaceful Revolution

In our usage, "free energy", refers to energy that is freely provided by the wheelwork of nature, and which are effectively inexhaustible from the abundant universe. "Free" is not intended to refer to the cost of the devices themselves nor the labor and methods required to build the device or do the harvesting.

The following is posted as an open letter to Gary Hendershot of the SmartScarecrow show, who recently has said several times that the term "free energy" sets his teeth on edge because "nothing is free."

Hi Gary,

In listening to your discussion with Tommey Reed about the phrase "free energy" Thursday night, I would like to chime in and ask a favor.

For 11 years I have been laboring to clarify the term, and have been fairly successful. It would be nice if you could work with us in this defining, using your platform to help educate people and to establish consistency of the vernacular industry-wide.

I think my definition is the most common-sense-based and realistic.

By "free energy", I merely am referring to energy that is freely provided by the wheelwork of nature, and which are effectively inexhaustible from the abundant universe.

Within that range, there are "conventional" sources, such as solar, wind, geothermal, tide, wave, waste-to-energy, ocean current, thermal electric, etc. These are modalities that modern science readily embraces because they fit the presently-understood principles of physics.

I count 25 in that classification. (See)

Then there are the "unconventional" sources that modern science doesn't readily embrace, either because there is a political blacklisting against them, or because the models of science are still inadequate for describing them and will need to be revised accordingly. These include such things as cold fusion/LENR, magnet motors, gravity motors, electromagnetic overunity, electrostatic, water as fuel, zero point energy, vacuum, etc.

I count 25 in that classification as well. (See)

I have never, ever, intended the term "free energy" to refer to the device itself, nor the time required to build that device. Obviously, even though nature provides an abundance for us to harvest, the devices and methods that tap into those inexhaustible sources are not free. Hence, one of the key criteria I use in determining whether something will be included in our Top x listings is that they need to be affordable and practical.

Ironically, most of the "unconventional" free energy modalities are likely to also be much cheaper than the conventional modalities, and many of them are likely to be much cheaper even than polluting, non-free, depleting energy sources such as oil, coal, natural gas, and radiation-based nuclear.

Hence, they become literally "empowering" on a social-economic level. It truly is "power to the people."

So the pursuit of exotic free energy sources not only makes ecological sense, it makes economical sense. And because they will liberate mankind, being distributed power solutions that everyone can afford, they also become highly politicized because the powers that be do not want to be made obsolete and disempowered. Hence the suppression that is sometimes associated with the pursuit of exotic free energy technologies.

I know you know and appreciate all these points. I'm just trying to get you on board in helping us be consistent in the vernacular used in the industry.

"Free Energy" has nothing to do with magic. It has nothing to do with communist distribution of energy devices.

The "Free Energy" movement is an effective, peaceful revolution to bring about distributed, affordable, clean energy to the planet.
