LENR-to-Market Weekly -- November 29, 2012
Andrea Rossi
Highlights this week include: Rossi's Hot-Cat third party test results
pending...; 1 MW Hot Cat expected to weight 1 ton and occupy 2 cubit meters;
ECatNews is through; Fleischmann Memorial Project reporting excess heat; ICCF18 Announced;
Piantelli's third PCT patent application published; 2013 CF calendar; Automated Android Electrolysis

Rossi:
3rd Party Report 'Not Worse' Than Pordenone - Andrea
Rossi is not giving too much away about the third party report
on the hot cat that we have been expecting. However, he has made
some comments that do give us an idea about what we can expect.
He has mentioned that the results that the 3rd parties obtained
were better than those... (E-CatWorld; November 26, 2012)
Rossi:
Third Party Hot Cat Test Result Has Been Good - On
his official website Journal of Nuclear Physics, Italian
inventor Andrea Rossi gave the following statements to a
poster named Clovis Alan Ray: (ECatFusion; November

Calculating Depletion of Mass
- ... how much mass is depleted during the workings of an E-Cat or Hot
Cat? ... Rossi has said that over a 6 months period, there is about a 175 milligram difference in the weight of the masses in a 1 MW unit.
(ECatReport; November 22, 2012)
The Domestic E-Cat And The Carnot Cycle
-... it is unthinkable to make electric power with a domestic E-Cat, with the existing power production technologies. The Carnot cycle makes sense only for industrial applications, as you correctly think and all the direct conversion system are not mature, or can yield too low efficiency."
(ECatReport; November 25, 2012)
Rossi Working on Three Different
eCats, Peer Reviewed Third Party Testing Promised - Andrea Rossi has confirmed that his team is working on three different one megawatt (megawatt of heat) ecat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) devices. He has also stated that third party testing of at least one of them is complete and that a report of the test results will be published after peer reviewing.
- A Low Temperature one megawatt (MW) ecat.
- A one megawatt hot ecat that is fired by electricity.
- A one megawatt hot ecat that is fueled by gas. (EnergyCatalyzer3;

Projected Weight Of The 1MW Hot Cat
- Rossi replied that he hopes the Hot Cat will only weigh about a ton, and will be happy with that weight. Therefore, he apparently won't make it a priority to lessen the weight of the unit. He also said that the unit is about 2 meters long, 1 meter high, and 1 meter wide. All of these measurements, of course, are dependent on the finalized version that is certified.
(ECatReport; November 27, 2012)
E-Cat: the Hot Cat will weigh a ton
- Weighs "only" a ton for a volume of just two cubic meters, the mysterious Hot Cat of Andrea Rossi.
(GreenStyle.it; November 28, 2012)
Will There Still Be Home E-Cats?
- ..."statistics with the industrial plants will open the gate to the certification of the domestic apparatuses."

Radical Alternatives: Energy Sources to Transform Our Future
- On "Top Five Alternative
Energies," Regina Meredith interviews Sterling Allan, president of New Energies Systems Trust, on the cutting edge of emerging alternative sources of energy.
Italian inventor Andrea Rossi's E-Cat produces useful power from a
low energy nuclear reaction involving cheap and ubiquitous hydrogen
and nickel at relatively low temperatures and pressures -- with no
residual radiation. (Huffington
Post / Gaiam-TV; November 27, 2012)
While the article was favorable and friendly, there are a few
errors in this report about what I allegedly said. I plan to
post a correction here at PESN. -- Sterling
That
Was eCatNews - My interest in the eCat and its progeny lay
in its promise for the future. Now that I doubt Rossi's claims to
the point of near certainty, the subject does not deserve the work
involved in keeping this blog alive. (ECatNews; November

Pencil Erasers And Barrels of Gasoline
- Robert Godes, of Brillouin, said, as quoted in OilPrice.com,
that their boilers produced and tested by his company use only hydrogen,
with nickel as a catalyst. The amount of hydrogen used is contained in a
drop of water about the volume of a pencil eraser. According to Godes,
this single drop of water will provide as much energy as 2 4-gal. drums
of gasoline. (ECatReport; November 22, 2012)

Measuring Excess Heat - I'm keeping an eye on the latest
Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project Celani cell test going on at the
Hunt Utilities Group lab in Minnesota. They did a major rebuilding
of the cell before starting the current test, replacing parts and
reducing the amount of glue used. The live data feed is currently
showing ... (E-CatWorld; November 24, 2012)

Appeals for Help from the Crowd - Here's a video from the
Marting Fleischmann Memorial Project in which they are appealing to
the crowd for help with their open source science project. These
guys continue to impress with their commitment to making their LENR
project as open as possible and the crowd science model seems to
have won them a lot of friends and supporters.... (E-CatWorld;

Piantelli
Files International LENR Patent Application - Low energy nuclear
reaction (LENR) pioneer Francesco
Piantelli has filed a new international patent application for a
cold fusion device. David
French a Canadian patent attorney with a strong interest in LENR
noticed the application and pointed it out to the Cold Fusion Now
website. (ColdFusion3; November

Automated
Android Electrolysis System: Experiments 1-25 - The series of
experiments utilizing borax as an electrolyte, combined thoriated
tungsten and standard US 5 cent nickel cathodes, and an automated
control and data collection system has been completed. The results
demonstrated the utility of the method for examining excess heat
production from LENR in an Edisonian manner. There were a few exciting

Cold
Fusion in the Local Paper - Many people have been surprised and
disappointed that there has been little coverage of cold fusion related
topics in mainstream media sources. For many of us who have been
following events over the last couple of years consider it to be a topic
of great significance as it has the potential to revolutionize the... (E-CatWorld;

Thanksgiving! - I wish all E-Cat World readers in the United
States a happy Thanksgiving holiday! As a transplanted Briton, I find
this holiday to be a pleasant and relaxing one. There are no gifts
exchanged, just a time for good company, rest, and a nice meal. I'd
like to take this opportunity to express my... (E-CatWorld;

Recent Advances Show that LENR is not Free Energy
- If the free energy enthusiasts take a look at the recent advances in the field of low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) research and development they are going to be very disappointed. Recent revelations from cold fusion researchers such as Francesco
Celani, Andrea Rossi and the Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project demonstrate that LENR is far from free.

How Would LENR affect Driving and Traffic?
- Lower price of fuel would lead to more drivers, on roads that are
already highly congested. [what about flying cars?] (EnergyCatalyzer3;

ADVISORY: With any
technology, you take a high risk to invest significant time or money
unless (1) independent testing has thoroughly corroborated the
technology, (2) the group involved has intellectual rights to the
technology, and (3) the group has the ability to make a success of
the endeavor.
All
truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
