LENR-to-Market Weekly -- November 22, 2012
|

Two years prior to Pons and Fleischmann,
Steven E. Jones used the term "cold fusion" in relation to muon-catalyzed
nuclear fusion.
|
Highlights this week include: Steven E. Jones' replica and comment on
"fusion"; three upcoming LENR events in next three weeks; new E-cat
design input runs on natural gas; keeping an eye on Fleischman Memorial Project
replication of Celani cell; shale oil extraction could be assisted by LENR;
unintended consequences.

Pure Energy Systems News
Once again, we bring you a compilation of various news items about the
various LENR companies since our November
15 compilation.
Mainstream news sources are
indicated with the yellow highlight.

- LENR Companies
- Rossi, Leonardo Corp - E-Cat
- Technology
- Rossi has had to Radically Design the Ecat it now runs on Natural Gas
- Andrea Rossi and his team at the Leonardo Corp are working on a one ton gas-fired Ecat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) device. In a post on his blog Rossi stated that the prototype for the hot ecat device will weigh around one ton (presumably one metric ton),
it'll be two meters long, one meter wide and one meter in high. The device will have to be tested for one to two months of regular operation before Rossi makes it public.

- E-Cats And Radio Frequencies
- A question has arisen on the Journal of Nuclear Physics, Andrea
Rossi's blog, as to whether or not radio frequencies are involved in the functioning of the domestic E-Cat, or if any E-Cat will affect radio frequencies in the area in which the unit operates.
Rossi responded that the E-Cats are all shielded from radio
waves, so that radio frequencies will not interfere with the
functioning of the units. (ECatReport; November 16, 2012)
- Charging the E-Cat
- Joseph Fine recently asked Andrea Rossi some very interesting questions about the
E-Cat's fuel canisters. Rossi has stated that there is little or no transmutation taking place in the fuel of the E-Cat. This leads one to wonder just why the fuel cells need to be replaced.
(ECatReport; November 20, 2012)
- Bill Donovan (involved in Australian license)
theorizes that the primary reaction is the conversion of
hydrogen to deuterium (non-radioactive), and that the
build-up of deuterium quenches the reaction over time, hence
the need to refresh the mixture every six months. --

- E-Cat, the charging will last longer than 6 months
(Italian)
- Andrea Rossi unleashed upon some characteristics of refills E-Cat which, he said, could have lasting well over 6 months.
(GreenStyle.it; November 21, 2012)
- No Changes In Isotopic Distribution of E-Cats
- Steven Karels recently asked Rossi about the isotopic distribution. He wanted to know if there is a change in the fuel or ash levels. Rossi responded that they had noticed traces of the fuel and ash levels of isotopic distribution, but that they were minute.
(ECatReport; November 19, 2012)
- Applications
- Shale Oil And The U.S.
- The vast deposits of shale oil in the United States have breathed new life into the American oil industry. Through
"fracking", oil companies can liquefy the oil in shale and bring it to the surface.
The fracking is done by raising the heat of the shale, causing
it to fracture into gas, oil, and various solids. This provides
a great opportunity for the oil industry to benefit from an
alternative source of energy the Hot Cat. (ECatReport; November
19, 2012)
- Shale Gas Will be the Next Bubble to Pop: An Interview with Arthur Berm
- James Stafford: Is there any technology, any development you see coming in the future that can help us get where we need to be? Is conservation really the only answer or do you have any hopes for some of the alternative energy technologies, such as solar or, even, some of these more advanced technologies such as Andrea Rossi's E-cat machine?
(EnergyBangla; November 19, 2012)
- Intelligence »E-cat: close the scientific revolution of cold fusion?
(Interview interview with Italian licensee, Aldo Proia) - ... Our intent is to follow the developments of the situation, and see if the E-Cat works, and then if he can change history, otherwise everything will remain as always and will continue to bombard.
(OsservatorioItaliano.org; November 21, 2012)
- New
Poll: Optimistic or Pessimistic Regarding E-Cat? - It's been
a while since news of the E-Cat came on the scene, and we are still
waiting to see the commercialization of E-Cat technology. I'm
interested to see how the readership of this site stands in terms of
the level of optimism or pessimism regarding the eventual success of
E-Cat technology as a... (E-CatWorld; November 18, 2012)

Test Run to Keep an Eye On - I heard from Bob Greenyer this
morning who said that it might be worth keeping an eye on the Celani

currently running. Bob noted that the slope gradient is getting
steeper on pxs / t-mica external glass, even as the power and
pressure are dropping. The live data can... (E-CatWorld;

the New Fire (MFMP Video) - In addition to their LENR
replication work, the folks at the Martin Fleischmann Memorial
Project are also getting involved in some more general media
production activity as a means of spreading awareness about the new

hand. If you have successful... (E-CatWorld; November 16,

- Celani LENR Device Successfully Duplicated in USA
- The Hunt Utilities Group (HUG) has apparently succeeded in building a functional copy of Francessco
Celani's low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) device in Minnesota. The replication is part of the open source LENR effort known as the Martin Fleischman Memorial Project.

Steven
Jones replica: Pons & Fleischmann XS Heat not from fusion
- Jones is experimenting with a bell electrode setup that strongly
evidences excess (xs) energy and has similarities to the cell
presented by Pons and Fleischmann. He says that there are at least
two distinct phenomena in these experiments and that
"fusion" is not what most of these "CF" or
"LENR" types of arrangements exhibit. (PESN;

- Cold Fusion Pioneer says LENR is not Fusion
- The man who invented the term "cold fusion" now says that the effect popularly described as cold fusion or low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) is not fusion. Professor Emeritus Steven E. Jones told Sterling D. Allan of Pure Energy Systems that
he's not sure what to call the effect. (ColdFusion3; November 20, 2012)
