Members of the Pakistani parliament, scientists, and students alike watched in awe
as Waqar Ahmad, a Pakistani engineer, successfully demonstrated a working water
powered car in Islamabad. With just one liter of water, Ahmad claims a 1000 cc car could cover a distance of
40 km, or a motorbike could travel 150 km.
Ahmad's 'Water Fuel Kit Project' utilizes a hydrogen bonding technique with
distilled water, creating hydrogen to power the vehicle. If realized on a
massive scale, Ahmad's invention could seriously challenge the current energy
paradigm, and could usher in a new way of thinking about energy in general.
First reported today by the Times
of India, the promising exhibition took place on Thursday, as a
Pakistani cabinet subcommittee member praised the technology. A stunned audience
sat in astonishment when Religious Affairs minister, Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah,
proclaimed Ahmad's water car was "this years' Independence Day gift to the
This is not the first time a water powered car has been proven to work. Nearly a
year ago, on July 31st, 2011, Presscore.ca broke a story
on Genepax, a Japanese company that unveiled a car that can run on river, rain
or sea water, and even Japanese tea. A subsequent article
goes on to state, "The key to the Genepax system is its membrane electrode
assembly (or MEA), which contains a material thats capable of breaking down
water into hydrogen and oxygen."

First, let me welcome Robert Lee as a writer for PESN. This is his first story.
I was approached a few days ago by a member of a Pakistan crew involved
with this, or a similar technology. He gave me some links to three videos that they posted.
I was waiting for a response from them on a reply I sent to their email, asking
some questions about the technology.
But with this announcement in Times India today, I thought we should go ahead
and post what we have so far on this. Here are four (1

YouTube channel. First, the inventor clears the carburetor of petrol, then hooks
up the fuel source from his system that appears to extract energy from water.
Then he drives the bike down the road at around 5 mph.
The date stamp on these videos is 2008. Not sure if that is correct. And, again,
we're not sure this is the same group. A commenter below said they are not the
He wrote (slightly edited) :
Because of video length I have made 3 parts. In first, I disconnect petrol connection and
then finish the remaining petrol in carburetor. When we have confirmed there is no petrol in bike, then we
will install our system. Next time, our bike full complete version is also
coming. And also a car test and 2.5 kW generator.

Please find below more details about water powered car in Pakistan.
The show about the car went live on Pakistan's most popular TV channel GEO
TV Pakistan today.
Unfortunately I can't supply the translation but the video is self explanatory about what's going on. The car which has been used as a demo was previously running on CNG and the inventor
said that it's easier to convert a CNG powered car to water power than patrol- or diesel-powered
cars. CNG is already a popular fuel within the Pakistani transport system.

Hi. This is a link to a show that aired a few hours ago on the topic. It was
aired by one of he most respected news channels in pk. In attendance were he
inventor and a very eminent scientist and scholar from Pakistan.
Summary: the scientist didn't buy it and said that actual testing was required.
The inventor said that it had been thoroughly reviewed by by govt and semi govt
scientists and no one found any weaknesses or issues. He also said that the
scientist was free to borrow the car and test it to his satisfaction.
It would be great if someone who knows Urdu can translate this fully.

I sent [your article] to our contacts in Pakistan, and they say this guy is bogus. Please contact them yourself, they speak good
English. They say the guy was lying and can show you how he [does] it.
These guys [contacts] actually got Gov. approval of BB series cell system HHO boosters! The can get 50% to 150% better mileage over there with there un refined fuel.
Pakistan will be the FIRST country to accept and approve HHO!!!!

- The 130 octane gas produced in this process is not suitable to the engine
it is running. It will burn out the injectors and damage the engine.
- The amount of energy being produced is less than the amount of energy
required to make the hydroxy gas.
- The technology is not unique to this "inventor"; originating
earlier by other researchers as shown on YouTube videos that have been
available for years.
- When the inventor was asked basic questions in his TV interview by the
scientists, who came in open-minded, he exhibited a lack of knowledge about
something he should have known about, indicating that he is not the
originator of the technology.
- As this technology is discredited, it is likely to bring blowback to
legitimate researchers who are trying to get hydroxy technology rolled out

This is baloney. Ordinary Ford engines were modified to run on 50% natural gas hydrogen HHO in Vancouver BC had ran in tests for a long time in
the airport passenger buses. The timing has to be changed for cars converted to natural gas. The BMW 7 uses compressed hydrogen and there is
no burn out for their engines.
The amount of energy being produced is less than the amount of energy required to make the hydroxy gas.
This would not be known unless there is a full knowledge of the technology used in this case. One cannot assume there are no
improvement or changes over the previous designs of others. Prove an accusation first before making one.

As above, so what.

|If somebody is
interested in having the Urdu translation of the live show, I can do it
for them. Just let me know and I'll try to translate and post here. But
the summary is
1. His kit extracts Hydrogen from the distilled water (creating HHO)
2. He disconnects the patrol and gas fuel connection of the car.
3. Installs his own water kit and puts distilled water into it
4. Uses the battery to initially ignite the engine/process. Then the
battery connection is left alone... not used. Enough gas is produced to
keep the engine running for good time. Once that gas near full
consumption, the battery connection is reused to repeat the process. It
all works seem-less. The driver don't feel anything.
5. He claims that the engine remains fully safe with no chances of getting
heated up. Tests an old car/engine to prove his point.
6. One litre - atleast 40 km yeah :)
7. He has made all efforts to stop the gas leakage which was one of the
concern scientists showed.
8. The car drives as powerfully as with petrol - claims that this water
fuel is even more powerful than petrol/diesel/octane.
9. He is testing his technology for more than a year now. All people from
his locality witness that.
10. He thinks the technology has now perfected and is ready for commercial
11. He also explains in detail about the previous attempts made worldwide
and why those techniques failed. He claims that his approach is way too
different. He also emphasised that mixing of fuels is not an option.
12. He gives some details about his approach but stops short of sharing
the formula. Patent is under way.
The live display proved that what he said was correct and the car ran like
a dream for about 40 kms with only a litre of distilled WATER :)
The government is interested and probably are taking this thing as a
blessing in disguise. If it is true, then truly it is a blessing not only
for Pakistan but the entire world, if not then don't worry... Pakistanis
can easily digest it :p
Let me know if you have any questions.
Energy and Glory, Pakistan Revels in Boast of Water-Run Car
- In a nation thirsting for energy, the inventor loomed like a
messiah: a small-town engineer who claimed he could run a car on
water. The countrys most famous scientist, Abdul Qadeer Khan,
gave it his imprimatur too, saying: "I have investigated the
matter, and there is no fraud involved." (New York Times;
