Mr. Allan,
Allow me to introduce our company, Blue Sun Energy, Inc.
We are a renewable energy company from Greensboro, North Carolina with a focus in Wind Generation, Solar Grid farms, Waste to Energy and LED lighting technologies.
We are working with a group that is involved in the rebuild effort in Haiti. This group is one of the relief groups that have been selected in the rebuild of Haiti. We have been requested to assist in the establishment of a small scale power station and distribution system outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The energy will be used to support a village /town that will be established and be self-sustaining. This project will be established in a secure area.
The only stipulation has been the funding group wants to try and establish this with Clean Energy, and this power supply needs to be self-supporting and be reproducible in small scale deployments of expanding the system. This investment must also yield a 8% return on investment to support the investment in this project. The power will be purchased and guaranteed by a third party group in the $0.20 per KW range to support this payback.
When looking at the best way to establish this request, we see this as an opportunity to create a change that can also help push the establishment of some of the companies that have proven market ready technologies outlined on your site. We would like to look at recommendations of companies and products that you and your team feel may best support this program. Our team is willing to think outside the box on this with products other than Wind and Solar. These technologies must be proven and market ready.
We see this as a huge opportunity to advance technology and help advance companies to market. The goal is to offer a solution that can be reproduced in other countries also in need of reliable power supplies.
The timeline for helping establish this in Haiti is to have a project that can start in the fourth quarter of 2010 and be established in a relatively short timeline.
The undertaking is massive when considering the corruption and destruction of this country. But we also see this an opportunity to advance renewable energy.
We would like to look at three areas.
1) Residential Power
2) Business and Commercial Power
3) Storage and Distribution of Power
Again thank you for your assistance and in helping push the development of Clean Energy.
