SALT LAKE CITY, UT, USA -- Paul Pantone, inventor of the much-disputed
super-efficient GEET carburetor system, among other things, has commenced an
index page called "Legal
Battles" to chronicle and document the serious wrongs that he believes
have been perpetrated upon himself and his company. The page is just in
its beginning stages at this point, and will not be comprehensive out of
necessity to protect some innocent parties.
The documentation he says he has at his disposal includes tape recordings of
phone calls, of which he says he has several hundred hours in all, including
damning statements by attorneys, both who were hired to defend him, as well as
interactions with the Attorney General's office in Utah. He claims that
his attorneys, one after another, have been bought out, and that he has evidence
to support that assertion.
Pantone says he has documents to prove injustices that he has endured at the
hands of crooked lawyers, dishonest business partners, and parties that have
tried to steal his technology without proper agreements and credit.
The first point he addresses is the misrepresentation of the reason he was
incarcerated recently. The Salt Lake County Jail said that he was brought
into custody on Aug. 10, 2005 on charges of securities fraud and on violation of
protective order. Pantone responds saying that he "was arrested for
'Failure to Appear'," and further explains that the reason he failed to
appear was because his attorney, Gil Aphay, "intentionally and willfully
failed to tell me of any hearing on the 13th of July of 2005."
While this vernacular change regarding the securities fraud is a point well
taken, Pantone does not mention that it was actually his violation of a
protective order that was the event that brought him under arrest.
In order to allow that there be a balanced coverage of Pantone's grievances, a
new page
has been created at PESWiki to allow the parties named by Pantone on his
"legal battles" page to post a response or clarification.
Pantone has been informed of the page, and is considering posting a link to it.
