Just another update on earthquakes and Oil guys.
I got to looking into the 1964 earthquake in Alaska... Valdez was an oil
terminal for oil shipping from developments in the area as North Slope oil was
only a dream at the time. There was massive oil and gas work going on in the
Anchorage area in 1964 including massive gas injection to improve oil
recovery... This was the largest earthquake (Easter Sunday 1964) in the 1900 to
2000 period. It was a 9.2.
It triggered tsunami all the way to Chile. It triggered a massive Alaska
tsunami. It also triggered tsunami with deaths in Oregon and California
including the port of Fort Brag Ca. (I have been to Fort Brag and know about it
from them) The quake is most definitely related to OIL and GAS production which
at the time was principally located in the Cook Inlet and the Prince William
Sound (Valdez) area both on land and offshore. This was also the damage center
for the quake.
I would complement you on researching the data on earthquakes. I had been aware
of US TVA experience for a long time. Their data was most large lakes like
Wheeler and Guntersville routinely create earth movements about every 2 or 3
years being since 1935 construction in the range of 1.0. The deeper and heavier
vertically the lake the more profound the quake. It is pretty much the weight
that does the trick. When I said I would guess a 7.0 on the 3 gorges dam.... I
have seen estimates up to the 9.0 range but I was looking lower. Looking at the
construction of the dam I feel almost certian at some time in its operation it
will break catastophically the design is bad and the manufacturing is poor.
Lake Like Powell in the west has seen upwards to 6.0 on the scale since it was
filled.
The sustainable oil theory which I am aware of also indicates that the areas
will be geologically unstable if the gas or oil is moved rapidly.
Note: Oil and gas pressure is nothing but the weight of the rock on top. The gas
does not supply, it expresses the pressure and allows the oil to be pushed out
like a water/gas balloon under pressure.
The pressures in gas fields should absolutely terrify anyone! In Alabama's
Mobile Bay I talked in 1988 with the Oil men because I was working for the State
Revenue Department at the time and had contact with them. I asked why they had
warning sirens 65 miles away from their gas field there at the pass between
Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan. The answer was spine tingling. The well head
pressures for their wells were approximately 37,000 psi! (Yes I said thirty
seven thousand pounds per square inch pressure) I am aware of the physics of
this and asked how they contained it . It seems that they leave the 9.5 specific
gravity mud in the well and effervesce the gas up through the well. Beginning at
2 miles down (The wells are nearly 7 miles deep and 5 feet in diameter or
larger) they have massive pressure reducers installed every 500 feet. It was
indicated that if they blew out one of these rigs, they expected the fire ball
to reach 130 miles diameter in about 10 minutes post breach! Then the man handed
me a sample of the rock they were leaking the gas out of and it looked like
glass! It would not even permit water under very high pressure to pass. He told
me that they had not drilled the actual formation because the pressure in it was
too high. The estimated pressure in the formation 100 miles away was 145,000 psi
or greater.
Confronted with this dramatic data I asked him about an energy shortage. He told
me that there was no shortage of energy that in fact there was absolutely no
concern about running out of oil and gas ever. Rather he said, "We are
worried about running out of air to burn!" Then I asked this geologist how
far the damage from a blowout would extend. He said he doubted that if they blew
out a rig that anyone in Alabama would be left alive inside of 30 minutes.
What we are describing for forces in oil and gas exploration are beyond any
imagination. Here I was talking to a Expert Oil Exploration Geologist and he was
talking about an cataclysm that would make an asteroid impact or super volcano
eruption look small from an industrial accident! This is the largest threat from
terrorist activity as well!
When you first suggested that the tsunami and earthquake of 26 December 2004
might have been caused by such I sort of dismissed it than I got to looking into
it and frankly the smoking gun is there!
The gas field off of Alabama is actually large than the one at Aceh! The
processing "Yellow Hammer" Plant is larger! There is also proposal to
bring on shore LNG to that location as well. An explosion of a single cargo ship
of LNG could easily cause a 20 Mega Ton blast! Some proposed freighters could up
this to 100 Mega Tons (TNT Equal). This issue of such massive handling
facilities and the consequences brings up the other side of oil and gas. Oil and
Gas are products of strata and conditions that universally are associated with
highly radioactive rock. It is a routine part of the detection of such
structures and the management of Oil and Gas Drilling to use radiation levels to
detect and control successful drilling. The amount of radiation here is
profound. The amount here will map one for one to the same quantity of Coal and
its Radiation. The US TVA operates facilities such as the Widows Creek and Bull
Run and other Coal plants. Widows Creek dumps by coal about the total amount of
radioactive material contained in a large 1.2 mW reactor (Thermal 3.6 mW) every
six months into the sky. Bull Run does this about every 3 to 4 months. Oil
matched carbon content to coal matches radiation content similar. This is a
massive nuclear waste spill.
I am sure you can get all of the hard data. I am quite happy to let you know the
basic stuff here. You seem to be getting plenty of good experts who get all the
proof in line when the first indications are lined up.
The basic reasoning behind going to alternative or "Free Energy" are
supported by the dangers of what we are now doing in oil/gas etc.
Thanks for your time
Sincerely Paul Noel
